2026 Year of the Fire Horse – Earth Luck

Introduction

Earth Luck is also known as the Feng Shui Qi or Feng Shui energy and the Purple White Flying Stars that visiting a home, a shop or an office annually.

Annual Feng Shui Qi and Purple White Flying stars are two separate Feng Shui systems.

These yearly Feng Shui Qi and annual Purple White Flying Stars can be good and can be bad.

The good Qi is called Sheng Qi (生氣). The bad Qi is called Sha Qi (煞氣).

Normally the Feng Shui Qi influence starts from the 4th February.

However, some special Feng Shui Qi starts on the Winter/Summer (South Hemisphere) Solstice on the 22nd December each year.

Each year, there are Feng Shui Sheng Qi (生氣good energy) and Sha Qi (煞氣bad energy) visiting different areas of a premises.

Feng Shui Earth Luck is to deal with these potential harmful yearly Feng Shui energy.

First, we need to mitigate the Feng Shui Sha (Bad) Qi. Then we activate the Sheng (Good) Qi to bring in auspicious Qi for better wealth, better health, better career and fertility.

Please note: The yearly energy is just one of the many feng shui layers. It does not dictate or override the natal Feng Shui settings. The annual energy is like a guest coming to visit your home once a year. This year, they bring good gift and another year they may cause troubles. Your guest come and go does not alter the original settings of your home. While your guest, a good friend is staying with you, you can still lose money, you can still not getting a promotion and you can still not getting pregnant.

To activate good Feng Shui for your home to bring in good fortune, good luck, the natal layers must be addressed. You can engage a Feng Shui master to help – DONT FORGET TO ASK IF THEY PRACTICE SYYG FENG SHUI SYSTEM.

The most complete system of Feng Shui is the San Yuen Yuen Gua (SYYG) Feng Shui. I have students in many countries practice the SYYG Feng Shui System. Before you engage a feng shui master, ask them if they are practising the SYYG Feng Shui system.

As each house has its own configurations and layout. The following is a just a guide only.

If you have been following my Feng Shui Earth Luck article in the past years, you know that each year, there are 3 big Sha Qi and three Sheng Qi or stars flying around regardless the facing and sitting of the house or an office.

In some years, Sha Qi overlaps and creates bigger negative impacts.

And on the other hand, Sheng Qi can overlap too to bring double goodness.
There is also a couple of medium Sha Qi rotating around each year.

I will show you some Feng Shui methods to deal with these Feng shui Sha Qi and Sheng Qi in the year of the Horse.

Firstly, we need to know where these Good and Bad Qi are in the year of the Horse.

  1. 2026, year of the Horse, Horse is the Tai Sui (Grand Duke) or the yearly King. It can be good or bad depends on the house facing.

It is located at the south sector or Wu (午) mountain or the Horse sector. This is measured form the centre of the house. In more precise way, it falls between 172.5°-187.5°. (A 15 degrees sector)

Please note that all sectors and areas mentions below are measured from the centre of the house or your office.

  1. The San Sha (三煞3-killings) arrives at the North. It covers a big area. It covers from 322.5°- 37.5°. (Hai 亥, Ren壬, Zi子, Gui癸 and Chou丑), The San Sha is really powerful and it is unfavourable.
  1. In Purple White Flying Star system, the Five Yellow, #5 star lands at the Li離 gua area. The Li Gua area is located at the South area. It covers from 157..5° to 197.5°.
  1. The authority, power, travelling and promotion star number #6 flies to North at Kan 坎 Gua. Measuring from the centre of the house, it covers from the 3375.5°- 22.5°.

Below is the Earth Luck map aka Feng Shui map for 2026 – year of the Horse.

The top is south direction and the bottom is north, the left is east and right is the west.

Remember, Feng Shui map is different from a normal map. On a normal map the top is North.

Feng Shui map shows all the good and bad qi in 2026.

The Feng Shui map looks very complicated. In fact, It is not. Follow the colour you can see.

1: (Green) The Tai Sui,

2: (Blue) The 3-Killings and

3: (Yellow) The Five Yellow.

You can see, these 3 biggest yearly Bad Qi are located at North and South Direction.

The East-West direction (sitting and facing) is auspicious.

The major Shas are located at these areas, so we need to take care of them.

MITIGATE THE YEARLY INAUSPICIOUS FENG SHUI QI

In classical Feng Shui, there is a saying: “大煞宜避, 中煞可制, 小煞不理!”
This means: “Avoid the big Sha Qi. Cure the medium Sha Qi. Ignore the tiny Sha Qi.”

The first rule to deal with Sha Qi is:

“Respect them DO NOT disturb them or activate them in their respectively areas”.

Keep the Sha areas as quiet as possible.
Do not DISTURB the Sha Qi areas, avoid digging ground or renovating the sectors inside and outside of your house. (Unless you are not living in the house when your house is being renovated.)

The yearly Sha Qi is like a hungry sleeping lion. It is fine without any disturbance. With strong vibration, disturbance created by diggings, the hungry lion will be wakening up from sleep and if you are happened to be nearby, the hungry lion will hurt you. Sometimes there are multiples hungry lions sleeping in the same areas.

THE WU午HORSE SECTOR HAS THE TAI SUI

Some masters translate “Tai Sui” as “The Grand Duke” / “The Yearly King” / “Yearly boss”. They refer to the same thing and the same direction / sector.

The Tai Sui Energy is not bad at all the time. Like your own boss sometimes he can be in good mood too.

Therefore, the Tai Sui can be double good or double bad. It depends on the facing direction of your house.

Measuring from the centre of the house, the Tai Sui locates at the South sector (172.5°-187.5°). This is the Horse area. It is one of the sector of the 24 sectors or the Feng Shui compass.

If you don’t know how to measure the centre of your house, specially with an irregular shape floor plan, you can watch my Youtube video here. I show you how to find your house’s centre.

In traditional Feng Shui, there is a technique to activate the Tai Sui in order to speed up for the auspicious results.

To do so, you need to engage a traditional trained Feng Shui master, especially masters equipped with SYYG Feng Shui knowledge.

Do not DIY Feng Shui. If sectors are incorrectly activated, they bring double harms.

To be safe, first of all, we must respect the Tai Sui. Please do not disturb the Tai Sui sector of the year.

In a house or an office, if the main entrance locates at the South sector, Please don’t disturb the area both inside and outside, such as slamming the doors, digging, drilling and hammering.

If the Tai Sui sector in 2026 is accidentally activated, it may bring issues relate to the eyes, hearts, blood circulation and high blood pressure.

The Horse sector is located within the Li Gua area (離卦). It belongs to the middle daughter or female age between 20-39 years old. The middle daughter will experience these issues too.

If the main entrance of your house or office is located at the Wu (午) Horse sector, please keep this Tai Sui area as quiet as possible. Don’t slam the door. Make sure opening and closing the door gently at all time.

This non-disturbance rule applies to all the other Sha Qi sectors too.

To reduce the impact of the Tai Sui in the year of the Horse (4 Feb 2026 – 3 Feb 2027), place a round black vase filled with 80% full of still water in the Wu sector.

Water element reduces Fire energy

The San Sha is really powerful and it is unfavourable.

The 3-killings or San Sha Qi represents lawsuits, career problems, gossips, theft, robbery, arguments and backstabbing.

Do not disturb the 3-Killings area. Keep the Three-Killings area as quiet as possible.

To minimise the bad feng shui effects of the Three-Killings Sha sector in your house or office, in the North sector place a standing ceramic Ox there. The head faces outside to the street.
